The SALT provides designs for different kind of ships. Our design team has the ability to undertake all stages of ship design:

The process of ship design has an iterative nature that is most commonly described by a design spiral that reflects the design methodology and strategy.

Concept Design

> Reception of Product Functional / Technical Specification, and Product Concept proposal.

> Analysis of requirements which enables us to identify the best solution to fulfil them.

> Preliminary technical reports and studies. We use the most commonly used engineering calculation software to prepare these

> Project drafts.

Basic Design

> Production of technical specifications for equipment and materials.

> Basic design of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems using general or specific engineering software.

> Production of engineering calculations, technical studies and reports. We use the most commonly used engineering calculation software to prepare these

> Qualification of equipment and material in accordance with the client’s specification and/or current regulations.

Detailed Design

> Calculation of supports and structures using finite elements

> 3D modeling, 2D and 3D drawings using outlines, diagrams and P&ID developed during the basic design

> Construction and assembly design

> Detailed design of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems

> Production of lists of materials

> Layout and network of conduits and electrical wiring

> Piping isometrics

> Studies of the installations’ general arrangemen

Structural FEM Analysis

Our structural team is able to tackle in a  purely professional manner any task associated with stress and strength analysis.  Sophisticated Finite Element Method (FEM) Analysis programs may be used in addition to model structural details and simulate successfully structural responses, thus deducting reliable results in high detail.

CFD Analysis

> Still water simulation for motor boats, with displacement and planing hulls, with trim and resistance prediction

> Boat motions on regular and irregular waves simulation and analysis
